They succeeded in getting justice for women's temple-entry at Shani-Singnapur, he said. 'He was a man of firm notions and had come prepared to sit for days on satyagraha. He was also the one to bail us out of court in many other instances,' said Aadhav. Actor Urmila Matondkar, was shaken and couldn't control her tears as she looked at the pale face of Dr Lagoo in the coffin at Vaikunth. 'It is a great loss not just for the film industry and theatre but to society as well. Not many people know, but he gave me my first break in his film Zaakol, where Govind Nihalani was the cinematographer.
