A Franco-Indian rhapsody
It's quite a stylish coup. A sensuously crafted, traditional collection, evocative of the rich tapestry of the opulent palace of Junagarh—the quiet, traditional jewel in Rajasthan's crown of historic tapestry—blended with classic, Parisian elegant. What prompted this polarised mix? 'Junagarh Fort is famed for its architectural splendour and opulence, and in our collection, we have added collectively a party of awesome design aesthetics, inspired by means of beautiful locales that live without a doubt undying,' stocks Falguni. 'Yes, it is a polarised blend, but a combination with lovely consequences as we juxtapose two completely extraordinary cultures. Elegantly extravagant and but classic. These traits have continually been the hallmark of our creations,' she adds. Shane and Falguni Peacock have made giant use of the chrome applique approach to respire splendour into every rendition. The knitting of this technique to the production manner brings in an element of uniqueness to every introduction. Appliqué being a method in which cloth patches are layered on a foundation cloth, then stitched in place with the raw edges grew to become under or included with decorative embellishment. 'We have used a chrome-colored material for this method on pastel lehengas,' says Shane. 'We attempted to copy the structural surprise this is the palace of Junagarh, and the dwelling factors from the barren region at the fabrics,' he provides. 'Of direction, the challenge was to get uniform motifs and a perfect finish, which comes after years of hand-growing applique paintings.' The chicness persists in the cropped blouses with sheer, feather and ruffle info. A rich smattering of intricately located crystals paintings up the magic within the established lehengas. It is indeed a royal treatise, with the contours of the palatial edifice transcribed at the grand ensembles, studded with delicate stones and pearls, respiration the real essence of the 13th century fortress. 'The palette is soothing, luxe and classic,' explains Falguni, gesturing to the smooth pastels and bright flushes melting into every different. From sorbet yellow, mystic mauve, soft taupe, icy blue, sea foam, fawn, mild salmon, fleeting blush, ash gray and carnation crimson to stunning coral, brick purple, fuchsia, chestnut, Tuscan gold and cerulean blue... It is a varied palette, mirroring the myriad emotions of the neo-age Indian bride while she starts a brand new chapter in her life. 'The Peacock Bride is a woman who is not afraid to explicit herself, be it her preference of lehenga and jewellery or her every day dressing. She is unconventional and perhaps a touch opportunity too,' says Falguni with a smile. Dailyhunt
