Japanese supply ship heads to space station after delays
They will update getting old nickel-hydrogen batteries for the station's electric energy, permitting an extension of its operations. The supply deliver is a nine-meter- (30-foot-) long cylinder with the intention to be retrieved by the gap station's robot arm. It is called Kounotori, because of this white stork. The 5,500 kilograms (12,000 pounds) of shipment includes racks and system for experiments and an experimental re-access pill to try and show a unique technology to carry returned samples from the gap station. Once it's miles unloaded, the supply craft could be full of trash and despatched Earth-ward. It can be destroyed while it re-enters the environment. Dailyhunt
