Kozhikode railway station garden a big draw
"The students themselves come every morning and evening to water the garden," said railway station manager A.M Mathachan. Bougainvillaea, rose, red palm, champagne palm, heliconia and Cyprus flowers adorn the garden now. Lush green grass and creatively laden pebble stones make the spot attractive. But some plants had been destroyed a few days ago by miscreants, and the railway is mulling over fixing a fence around the garden. "We are thinking to erect a fence. It is unfortunate that anti-social elements do such things," Mr Mathachan said. The single A1 class station under Palakkad division, Kozhikode railway station was opened for traffic in 1888. ...
